A church rooted in faith, growing through generations
Since 1874, Methodist witness in Hyderabad has grown through worship, prayer, fellowship and service. Centenary Methodist English Church continues this journey as a place where people come together in faith, grow in Christ and serve others.
A Heritage of Faith and Worship
The Methodist work in Hyderabad began in 1874 when Captain Winckler started cottage prayer meetings in Secunderabad. The congregation continued to grow, and in 1877 the Methodist Episcopal English Church was completed and dedicated.
