Celebrating a remarkable journey of worship, community and service.
1877 — 2026
A century and a half of Methodist witness and worship in Hyderabad.
The Methodist work in Hyderabad began in 1874 when Captain Winckler started cottage prayer meetings in Secunderabad. The work grew, and in 1877 the Methodist Episcopal English Church was completed and dedicated to the Glory of God and for public worship.
150 years is more than a number. It is a story carried by generations who worshipped, served, prayed and built community together.
From humble prayer meetings to generations of worship, CMEC's story has been shaped by faith, service and community.
